MINAS SABBATTHA

MINAS SABBATTHA (Μείνας Σαβατθά, Zosim. 3.23), a small fortified work in Babylonia, which Zosimus describes as, in his day, occupying the site of the celebrated Parthian capital Ctesiphon. Abúlfeda (p. 253) speaks of a place in the neighbourhood called Sabath.
