SILIS (Sele), a small river of Venetia, in the N. of Italy, which rises in the mountains above Treviso (Tarvisium), and flows into the lagunes at Altinum (Altino).
It is still called the Sele. (Plin. Nat. 3.18. s. 22.) [E.H.B]
