SEGE´SAMA

SEGE´SAMA (Σεγεσάμα, Strab. iii. p.162), or SEGESAMO and SEGISAMO (Itin. Ant. pp. 394, 449, 454; Orell. Inscr. no. 4719), and SEGISAMONENSES of the inhabitants (Plin. Nat. 3.3. s. 4), a town of the Murbogi or Turmodigi in Hispania Tarraconensis, on the road from Tarraco to Asturica, now called Sasamo, to the W. of Briviesca. (Florez, Esp.
