SEGOSA

SEGOSA in Gallia, is placed by the Antonine Itin. on a road from Aquae Tarbellicae (Dax) to Burdigala (Bordeaux). The first station from Aquae Tarbellicae is Mosconnum, or Mostomium, the site of which is unknown. The next is Segosa, which D'Anville fixes at a place named Escoussé or Escoursé. But he observes that the distance, 28 Gallic leagues, between Aquae and Segosa is less than the distance in the Itin.
