TRIDENTI´NI

Eth. TRIDENTI´NI (Eth. Τριδεντῖνοι), an Alpine tribe occupying the southern part of Rhaetia, in the north of Lacus Benacus, about the river Athesis. (Strab. iv. p.204; Plin. Nat. 3.23.) They, with many other Alpine tribes, were subdued in the reign of Augustus.
