TEUTONO´ARI

Eth. TEUTONO´ARI (Eth. Τευτονόαροι), a German tribe mentioned by Ptolemy (2.11.17) in close proximity to the Teutones, whence it may be inferred that they were only a branch of the Teutones. (Tatham, Epileg. ad Tac. Germ. p. cxi.)
