SIDODO´NE

SIDODO´NE (Σιδωδώνη or Σισιδώνη, Arrian Ind. chap. 37), a small place on the coast of Carmania, noticed by Arrian in Nearchus's voyage. Kempthorne thinks that it is represented by a small fishing village called Mogou; but Muller suggests, what seems more probable, that it is the present Duan. (Geogr. Graec. Minor. p. 359, ed. Müller, Paris, 1855.)
