TACO´LA (Τάκωλα, Ptol. 7.2.5), a place on the west coast of the Aurea Chersonesus, in India extra Gangem, which Ptolemy calls an emporium.
There can be no doubt that it is represented now by either Tavoy or Tenasserim. [V]
