VARDULI

Eth. VARDULI (Eth. Οὐαρδουλοί, Ptol. 2.6. § § 9; 66; Eth. Βάρδουλοι, Strab. iii. p.162; where we also learn that at an earlier period they were called Βαρδυῆται), a people in Hispania Tarraconensis, who dwelt westward of the Vascones, as far as the N. coast (in the present Guipuscoa and Alava). (Mela, 3.1; Plin. Nat. 3.3. s. 4, 4.20. s. 34.)
