[*] 145. The aorist participle has the same use with συμπίπτω, to happen, in Herodotus (890). E.g. “Καὶ τόδε ἕτερον συνέπεσε γενόμενον,” “and this other event occurred (as it chanced).” HDT. ix. 101.

So συγκυρέω in HDT. viii. 87 (see 889).
