[1036] So Odysseus is commanded to make libation πρῶτα μελικρήτῳ, i.e. with a mixture of honey and milk; cf. Eur. I.T. 159, where the χοαί consist of milk and wine and honey (ξουθᾶν πόνημα μελισσᾶν). In 1199 infr. mention is made of the milk mixed with the honey. For σιμβλήια v. 1. 880, 2. 132.
