ἀορτήρ, ῆρος (ἀείρω): baldric, belt, usually for the ἄορ, and the same as τελαμών (see cut), Od. 11.609; ‘strap’ for a wallet, Od. 13.438; what the ‘suspenders’ were in Il. 11.31 is not perfectly clear.
