κλέος (root κλυ, κλύω), pl. κλέα_ (shortened before a vowel): rumor, tidings, glory; σόν, ἐμὸν κλέος, ‘news of thee,’ ‘of me,’ Od. 13.415 ; κλέος πρὸς Τρώων, ‘an honor to thee before the Trojans,’ Il. 22.415 ; ἀνδρῶν κλέα_, glorious deeds (laudes), Il. 9.189.
