‘Or again, (another topic may be derived) from recrimination, by a retort upon the accuser: (the inference being, that) it is strange that where (in what, ὅ,) a man himself is not to be trusted, his statements should be trustworthy’. MSS ὁ αὐτός, Bekker Ed. 3, and Spengel (apparently from Bekker) ὅς. I read ὅ as nearer to the text, ‘in what’.
