Second Aorist

The reduplicated second aorist, of which the Attic “ἤγαγον” is also an example, is very common in Homer. E. g. A 100, “πεπίθοιμεν”, from “πείθω”. A 256, “κεχαροίατο”, from “χαίρω”.
