As in Attic Greek the subjunctive of the first person, used alone, may express an exhortation. The first person plural is common. Examples of the first person singular are: Z 340, “ἀλλ᾽ ἄγε νῦν ἐπίμεινον, ἀρήια τεύχεα δυ?ω”, ... ‘let me put on my armor of war.’ So X 418 and 450. Compare A 26, “μὴ ... κιχείω”, ‘let me not find’ etc., a threat.
