Φιλίππῳ. For the more usual πρὸς Φίλιππον. οἱ δὲ δή. The δή is probably ironical. οὐδ. οἵου τε ψευδ. So we say of a man that “he couldn't tell a lie if he wanted to.” οὐδένων . . . βελτίους. Cf. i. § 9 (note).
