§ 37. It is absurd to suppose that, because a dispute has some remote relation to a mine, therefore a mining-suit alone will meet it. No, the ordinary courts will settle it; and ‘mining-suits’ are reserved for special and comparatively rare contingencies. παρελθὼν ‘Shall he pass by, or fail to appeal to, the general laws, and have his plaint settled among (or as one of the) mining suits?’ πληγὰς λάβῃ Passive of τύπτω.
