παρεμβάλλῃ ‘If he goes on introducing irrelevant topics.’ Ar. Vesp. 481 τοῦτο γὰρ παρεμβαλοῦμεν τῶν τριχοινίκων ἐπῶν. The word is not found elsewhere in ‘Demosthenes.’

βοηθεῖτέ μοι τὰ δίκαια This phrase occurs Or. 35 § 5 [and τὰ δίκαια βοηθεῖν in 58 § 7]. It is here opposed to παρὰ πάντα τὰ δίκαια in the next sentence; or rather, perhaps, the clause ἐνθυμούμενοι ὅτι, κ.τ.λ. is exegetical of τὰ δίκαια, and the two together stand in contrast. —ἐξ ἁπάντων, κ.τ.λ., ‘which all the reasons I have urged show me to be entitled to.’ Kennedy.

Πλαγγόνα The subject to ἀφελέσθαι. The sentence is neatly rendered by Kennedy, ‘than that Plangon and her sons, adding another injury to those which they have already inflicted, should, contrary to every principle of justice, deprive me of the house, which was specially reserved as a security for the marriage portion.’ The wrong already done is that described in § 51.
