[385] Καδμεΐωνας: equiv. to “Καδμείονς”, 388, 391. cf. “Δαρδάνιοι, Β” 819, and “Δαρδανίωνες Η” 414. See § 21 h. The Cadmeans were named from the mythical founder of Boeotian Thebes. cf. “Ἐρεχθεΐδαι” as a freq. poetic appellation for the Athenians.
