[80] Obs. the ‘chiasmus.’

ἐυκνήμιδας: the greave, about the lower leg, seems to have been one of the most characteristic parts of the Achæan armor. Perhaps, however, the Trojans too wore greaves, but the epithet did not fit into the verse in connexion with them.
