[109] ὄρσο, καταβήσεο: standing ‘asyndeton.’ The first imv. is more general; the second, the more special, is in a kind of appos. with the first. § 2 m. Cf. 4.204. For “ὄρσο”, without variable vowel, see § 35; for “καταβήσεο” with the variable vowel of the 2d aor., cf. “ἐπιβησόμενον” 46.

πέπον: “my dear fellow.” An affectionate form of address. cf. 6.55.
