[336] ἄκρην χεῖρα: more definitely described in 339. cf. 458.

οὔτασε: wounded by a thrust from the lance. Always of a wound inflicted by something held, not thrown. See on “Δ 540. — μετάλμενος”: leaping after, in order to inflict the wound. cf. “ἐπάλμενος ὀξέι δουρί Α 421, δουρὶ μετάλμενος Ξ” 443.
