ἁλόντε: dual, of the two parties, Hector and his men; cf. 485. See on 4.407. cf. “ὠκέες ἵπποιͅ ἄξαντ̓” (breaking) . . . “λίπον ἅρματ᾽ ἀνάκτων Π” 371, since each chariot had two horses.

πανάγρου (“ἄγραprey): cf. “στεγανὸν δίκτυον, ὡς μήτε μέγανͅ μήτ᾽ οὖν νεαρῶν τιν̓ ὑπερτελέσαι” Aesch. Ag. 345 f.
