κεκλιμένος: “on the shore.” cf. “ἀλλ᾽ ἐν γὰρ Τρώων πεδίῳ . . . πόντῳ κεκλιμένοι, ἑκὰς” (far) “ἥμεθα πατρίδος αἴης Ο” 740.

Κηφισίδι: earlier name of Lake Copaïs, derived from the Boeotian river Cephisus which rises on the north slope of Parnassus and empties into this lake. cf. “λίμνην τὴν Κηφισίδα, οἱ δὲ Κωπαΐδα ὀνομάζουσι” “τὴν αὐτήν” Paus. ix. 24. 1; “Καφισίδος ἐν τεμένει” Pindar, Pyth. xii. 27.

πὰρ δέ οἱ: while (but) by his side, near him.
