φέροι: the verb is attracted to the mood of the principal clause. cf. 3.299. G. 235, 1; H. 919 a.

μηδ᾽ ὅς: ne is quidem. Resumption of the principal thought of 57.

ἀλλ᾽ ἅμα πάντες: the affirmative contrast to the preceding.
