[71] “ἂμ [ἀνὰ] πεδίον”: along the plain.

συλήσετε: fut. of positive assurance, after the command. cf. “νῦν μὲν παυσώμεσθα, . . . ὕστερον αὖτε μαχησόμεθα Η” 290 f., “εἴξατέ μοι διελθέμεν: αὐτὰρ ἔπειτα ἄσεσθε κλαυθμοῖο Ω” 716 f., Od. 12.23 ff. — The speaker included himself in the subj. of “κτείνωμεν”, but, with indifference, he leaves the plunder to the inferiors. For the change of person, cf. “εἴδομεν κεν Ἀχιλλεὺς νῶι κατακτείνας ἔναρα βροτόεντα φέρηται . . . κεν ς δουρὶ δαμήῃ Χ” 244 ff.

συλήσετε: followed by two accusatives. cf. “ἀπηύρα” 17.
