τόδε . . . προσδοκῶ: these words sound like a prophecy in the mouth of Socrates, but were probably intended by Plato as a severe criticism on his accusers.

περὶ τούτων τινὸς κινδυνεύων: referring to the nature of the punishment to be undergone. Cf. above, b.

: where we should more naturally have ὧν, but see on 486 d.

ἵνα μὴ εἴπω μόνος: this limitation is intended to be exact, as the repetition of μόνος shows. On the matter, see Apol. 30 d ff.

οὐ πρὸς τὸ ἥδιστον: the repe
