ἑνὸς ὄντος: repeated from above. Socrates asks whether the particular virtues differ qualitatively or quantitatively; in their nature, or only in the degree and amount of the virtue contained in them. —

πότερον: sc. ταῦτα μόριά ἐστιν.

διαφέρει: with anacoluthon; we should have expected ὥσπερ τὰ τοῦ χρυσοῦ μόρια (sc. μόριά ἐστι τοῦ χρυσοῦ), οὐδὲν διαφέροντα κτἑ.

φαίνεται: sc. πρὸς τὴν ἀρετὴν ἔχειν.
