φαίην: equiv. to συμφαίην, a frequent usage, cf. 332 a.


οὐκοῦν, πότερον: these are also words of the supposed questioner. But there is an ellipsis of εἰ δὲ ἐπανέροιτο, which would show this, and of which ἀγανακτήσαιμ᾽ ἄν forms the apod.
