Eubu'lus, Aure'lius

of Emesa, chief auditor of the exchequer (τοὺς καθόλου λόγους ἐπιτετραμμένος) under Elagabalus, rendered himself so odious by his rapacity and extortion, that upon the death of his patron the tyrant, he was torn to pieces by the soldiers and people, who had long clamorously demanded his destruction. (D. C. 79.21.)
