Haemon

Αἕμων).

1. A son of Pelasgus and father of Thessalus. The ancient name of Thessaly, viz. Haemonia, or Aemonia, was believed to have been derived from him. (Schol. ad Apollon. Rhod. 3.1090; Plin. H. V. 4.14.)
