He is a different person from the Joannes who was at the head of the commission appointed to compile the first Constitutionum Codex.
It appears from Const. Cordi,
§ 2, that he was one of the commission of five, headed by Tribonian, who drew up the repetita praelectio codis,
which was published in A. D. 534.
