Leotro'phides
(
Λεωτροφίδης), one of the Athenian dithyrambic poets, whom Aristophanes ridicules (
Av. 1405, 6).
The meagreness of his person, as well as of his poetry, made him a standing jest with the comic poets. (Schol.
in Aristoph. l.c.; Suid.
s. v.; Ath. xii. p. 551a. b.)
