Longi'nus, Ca'ssius

9. C. Cassius Longinus, C. F. C. N., son of No. 8, was consul B. C. 124, with C. Sextius Calvinus. (Fast. Sic.; Cassiod.; Vell. 1.15.) Eutropius (4.22) says that the colleague of Longinus was C. Domitius Calvinus, and that he carried on war with him against Bituitus; but both statements are erroneous. [BITUITUS.] Obsequens (100.91) calls the other consul Sextilius.
