La'mius

Λάμιος), or LAMUS, a son of Heracles and Omphale, from whom the Thessalian town of Lamia was believed to have derived its name. (Diod. 4.31; Steph. Byz. s. vv. Λαμία, Βάργασα; Ov. Ep. 9.54.)
