But there is much discrepancy on this point: Dexippus (apud Syncell.
p. 263a.) calls the father of Amyntas Arrhidaeus; and Diodorus (15.60
), Tharraleos. Justin represents him as brother cf Alexander the First, king of Macedonia, which is a gross error. (See Clinton, F. H.
