Marcellus

a PHYSICIAN who appears to have lived in the first century after Christ in the reign of Nero, A. D. 54-68. (Marcell. Empir. de Medicam. 100.20, p. 332, ed. I. Steph.) He is perhaps the same person who is quoted by Galen (De Remed. Parab. 2.21, vol. xiv. p. 459), Aetius (3.1, 49, p. 506), Paulus Aegineta (3.41, 79, iv. l l, 6.48, pp. 460, 498, 507, 570), and Alexander Trallianus (8.8, p. 256, ed. II. Steph.)
