Pipa

or PIPARA, daughter of Attalus, king of the Marcomanni, was passionately beloved by Gallienus. Trebeilius Pollio confounds her with Salonina, the lawful wife of that prince, and Gibbon seems to have fallen into the same mistake. (Trebell. Pol. Gallien. duo, 100.3; Aurel. Vict. de Caes. xxxiii., Epit. xxxiii.; Tillemont, Histoire des Empereurs, not. vi.; Zonar. 12.5.)
