Stratoni'cus

*Strato/nikos), of Athens, a distinguished musician of the time of Alexander the Great, of whom scarcely any thing is recorded, except the sharp and witty rebuke which he administered to Philotas, when the latter boasted of a victory which he had gained over Timotheus. (Strab. xiii. p.610; Ael. NA 14.14; Ath. viii. p. 352b.)
