Θυωνεύς).

1. A surname of Dionysus which has the same meaning as Thyone, both being formed from θύειν, " to be inspired." (Ov. Met. 4.13; Hor. Carm. 1.17. 23; Oppian, Cyneg. 27 ; Hesych. s. v. Θυωνίδης.)
