Leo'ntius

6. A patronus causarum in the tribunal of the praefectus praetorio at Constantinople. He was one of the 16 commissioners appointed to compile the Digest, under the presidency of Tribonian. (Const. Tanta, § 9, Const. Δέδωκεν § 9.) Some of the different jurists named Leontius are confounded by Pancirolus, de Clar. Interp. Jur. p.63.
