Limus

Λιμός), the Latin Fames, or personification of hunger. Hesiod (Hes. Th. 227) describes hunger as the offspring of Eris or Discord. A poetical description of Fames occurs in Ovid (Ov. Met. 8.800, &c.), and Virgil (Aen. 6.276) places it, along with other monsters, at the entrance of Orcus.
