A Maine Secessionist.

F. O. J. Smith, of the Portland Advertiser, and Member of the Maine Legislature, has just delivered himself of a tremendous speech of three days length. He sees visions of commercial wealth and greatness in a union of Maine with the Canadas under British protection and government, and looks forward to the time when Maine can “mount the wings of hope and go back to the mother government.” --New-York Tribune, March 6.
