Every officer and soldier responded with a most enthusiastic “Aye” to these remarks, which were delivered in a calm, inflexible, and determined way. Col. Pinckney
evidently meant all he said, and at each telling-point every soldier's heart throbbed audibly beneath his cross-belts.--Independent, May 2.
