In 1784 she joined her husband in France
, and in the following year went with him to London
, where neither her husband nor herself received the courtesies due their position.
In 1789-1810 she resided at the seat of the national government, and passed the remainder of her life in the Quincy part of Braintree
, dying Oct. 28, 1818.
