Keen, Gregory Bernard 1844-

Librarian; born in Philadelphia, Pa., March 3, 1844; graduated at the University of Pennsylvania in 1861, and at the Divinity School of the Protestant Episcopal Church, Philadelphia, in 1866; became a Roman Catholic in 1868; was librarian of the University of Pennsylvania in 1887-97; and became librarian of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania in 1898. He is the editor of the Pennsylvania magazine of history and biography, and the author of a number of articles on The descendants of Joran Kyn, the founder of Upland, and the chapters on New Sweden and New Albion in the Narrative and critical history of America.
