Author; born in Chaource, France, Feb. 20, 1727; began his literary career at an early age. His publications. relating to the United States include Letters on the true boundaries of the English and French possessions in America; Some discussions on the ancient boundaries of Acadia; English observations, etc. He died in Paris, France, March 29, 1779.
