Winter, William 1836-

Author; born in Gloucester, Mass., July 15, 1836; graduated at Harvard Law School and admitted to the bar in 1857. He contributed to papers and magazines for more than forty years; has been dramatic critic of the New York Tribune since 1865; and wrote Life and art of Edwin Booth; Life and art of Joseph Jefferson, etc.
