Cal′i-per-square.

A square having a graduated bar and adjustable jaw or jaws. The example is a rule carrying two cross-heads, one of which is adjusted slightly by a nut, the other being movable along the rule. The cross-heads on one side are adapted to the measurement of interior diameters or sizes, and on the other side to the measurement of external sizes. See also i, Fig. 1029. [430]
